Lek to build US$400 million production facility in Lendava
Lek, the Ljubljana-based pharmaceutical company which is part of the Swiss generics group Sandoz, will build a US$400 million high-tech production centre for biosimilars in Lendava, in north-eastern Slovenia. The investment is to create around 300 new jobs.
European Days of Jewish Culture open in Maribor

Slovenian, Hungarian presidents open minority centre
Lendava – President Borut Pahor and his Hungarian counterpart Katalin Novak cut the ribbon at the opening of the newly renovated House of the Hungarian Community in Lendava on Friday. Novak encouraged community members to preserve their Hungarian identity, while Pahor advocated the nurturing of identity and harmony.
Orban to visit Slovenia next week
Ljubljana – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is to make an official visit to Slovenia on Monday as part of which he is to meet his counterpart Janez Janša in Lendava, the newspaper Večer and TV Slovenija have reported citing unofficial sources. Janša’s office has not responded to the STA’s question about the visit.

Lendava spa to reopen later this year
Lendava – The spa in Lendava, known for its paraffin thermal water, has been closed for more than a year. Its director, Daniel Kovacs, says the spa will reopen this year after the buildings have been renovated and new services introduced. The spa in the city close to the Hungarian border was acquired at the end of 2019 by Comitatus Energia, a Hungarian fund, for EUR 9 million.

Govt visit to Pomurje focused on agriculture projects and youth drain
