Face masks made in Turkey stir political debate in Greece
Face masks that were produced in Turkey and distributed to Greek lawmakers have stirred a political debate in Greece.
The Greek Parliament convened on Jan. 29 for a second day to discuss a censure motion brought forward by the main opposition party Syriza against the government over its handling of the recent snowstorm which crippled the capital Athens.
Kasidiaris cleared over live TV attack on Communist MP
Golden Dawn lawmaker Ilias Kasidiaris on Friday was acquitted of charges of attempted grievous bodily harm against Communist Party (KKE) deputy Liana Kanelli following a televised brawl in June 2012.
An Athens court ruled that the assault was not as severe as described in the charges.
Kasidiaris hearing for TV beating postponed
An Athens court on Friday postponed the trial of Golden Dawns Ilias Kasidiaris over charges of attempted grievous bodily harm to March 1st, 2016. The postponement was due to action called by lawyers.
The case centered on charges brought against Kasidiaris by Greek Communist Party (KKE) MP Liana Kanelli, following a televised brawl on June 2012.
