GAS and SMC parties merge into Concretely
Celje – The coalition Modern Centre Party (SMC) and the non-parliamentary Economically Active Party (GAS) merged at a congress on Saturday into a new party called Concretely that will focus on the social and economic development of Slovenia.

Turkey Rejects Claims it Interfered In Bulgaria’s Elections

Bulgarian Ambassador Angel Tcholakov was informed that Turkey rejects all allegations that Bulgarian voters of Turkish ethnicity were essentially directed by the Turkish authorities to vote for an ethnic Turkish party in Bulgaria on November 14.

Ljubljana – The leader of the coalition Modern Centre Party (SMC) and Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek believes that the next election will be held as scheduled. Speaking to the newspaper Večer, he does not completely rule out the possibility of an early election though, but also notes that a snap election would not suit his party at the moment.

China says military drills near Taiwan a 'just' move
Chinese military exercises near Taiwan are targeted at forces promoting the island's formal independence and are a "just" move to protect peace and stability, China's Taiwan Affairs Office said on Oct. 13.
