Greece to Impose Stricter Restrictions on Unvaccinated Citizens
Greek Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias on Tuesday announced the imposition of firm new restrictions as the government steps up its efforts to combat public hesitancy about coronavirus vaccination.
School year, in-person instruction to resume on September 13
The opening of the school year with in-person instruction will take place on September 13 for all students, and parents may agree or oppose their children over 12 being vaccinated by filling in some forms, Education Minister Sorin Cimpeanu said Tuesday.

"The session will focus on the beginning of the school year. That is why we invited representatives of the teachers' union, the president of the high school forum and the president of the pediatricians' association to the session, who will address the public later," Prime Minister said.
Mandatory PCR tests to start on Sept 6
Turkey will require unvaccinated people to present negative PCR tests to attend social events, such as concerts, or to enter public venues, including cinemas and theaters, starting Sept. 6.

England ends self-isolation for Covid contacts
Fully vaccinated people in England are from Aug. 16 no longer be required to self-isolate if they have had close contact with a coronavirus case, as restrictions continue to be eased.

95 new coronavirus infections reported for Saturday
Ljubljana, 15 August – Out of 920 PCR tests performed on Saturday, 95 came back positive, the highest daily case count over weekends since 6 June, as the epidemiological situation kept deteriorating in Slovenia, show fresh official data. The 14-day incidence per 100,000 residents increased by one to 99.
Number of new infections on Friday highest since 3 June
Ljubljana – A total of 264 new coronavirus infections were confirmed in Slovenia on Friday in 1,869 PCR tests, for a positivity rate of 14.1%, up 3.3 percentage points compared to the day before. The number of new infections confirmed yesterday is by 65 higher than on Thursday, and is the highest daily number since 3 June.
What is happening in England?
The number of new cases in just two weeks got cut by half from 54,674 registered on July 17, to 22,287 on August 2.
