Metal workers’ strike postponed by cabinet decision over ‘national security concerns’
A planned strike by metal workers and its accompanying lockout move by their bosses have been postponed by a cabinet decision over “national security concerns” ahead of scheduled talks between the labor unions and the employer union.
New labor minister to meet with creditor envoys on Tuesday
Labor Minister Efi Achtsioglou is to meet on Tuesday with representatives of Greece's international creditors for talks on labor reforms that form part of the second bailout review.
According to sources, the 31-year-old minister, who has succeeded Giorgos Katrougalos, is to focus on four main points in her negotiations with the foreign envoys.
