'Sylvia' at Süreyya Opera

The Istanbul State Opera and Ballet (IDOB) has chosen a mythological piece for this season?s first classic ballet premier.

?Syliva,? the mythological love story uniting the huntress Sylvia and a lovelorn shepherd with the divine intervention of the deity Eros was first choreographed by Louis Merante to music by Leo Delibes in Paris in 1786.
