Wizz Air announced today that as a result of the travel restrictions imposed to control the COVID-19 pandemic, it will cease all its flights from and to Malta until April 10, 2020, from March 21, 2020.

Wizz Air Cancels Flights to Northern Italy due to the Coronavirus
Wizz Air announced today that it is immediately stopping its flights to Milan, Treviso and Bergamo due to the blockage of the northern Italian region in an attempt to control the coronavirus outbreak. This was reported by the carrier's press center.
Flights from Sofia and Varna to Milan Bergamo will be completely stopped by April 3.

Wizz Air to Carry will be the Air Carrier for the International Sofia-Yerevan-Sofia Route
Bulgaria's government has selected Hungarian airline Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. As an air carrier for the international Sofia-Yerevan-Sofia route, said the government press office.
The selection of Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. has been made in accordance with the bilateral international agreement, the law of the European Union and Bulgaria's national legal norms.

A Passenger Plane Split into Three Pieces at an Airport in Istanbul, There are Killed and Many Injured
Three people were killed and 179 were injured when a plane skidded off an airport runway in Istanbul and split into three pieces, News Sky reported.
The accident involving the Boeing 737-800 occurred at the Sabiha Gokcen airport.
The flight was operated by Pegasus Airlines and carried 177 passengers onboard and six crew members.
Many are hospitalized.

A passenger plane of the Turkish low-cost airline Pegasus skidded off the runway of Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, Turkish NTV reported.
There are no dead or injured people. The incident happened at 9.43 am (8.43 am Bulgarian time). For this reason, the airport will not operate for several hours.
