Three Bears Released in Central Balkan Park
Three brown bears were released in Central Balkan Park at a joint action of the eco-ministry and Four Paws Foundation.
The bears had a period of rehabilitation and survival training but they still have to be watched how they will adapt to nature. A similar action to rescue the bears and then return them to nature is done for the first time in Bulgaria.

Whale was Detained in Norway on Suspicion of Being a Russian Spy
A whale found on the coast of Norway, carrying a special Russian harness and probably trained by the Russian navy, said a Norwegian expert, quoted by the BBC.
Marine biologist Professor Awund Rickardsen explained that the harness has a GoPro camera holder and a label that points to St. Petersburg. Norwegian fisherman managed to remove it from the whale.
Bradley and Cooper adopted by bear sanctuary
The brown bear sanctuary Arcturos announced the adoption Tuesday of two three-month-old orphan bear cubs, named Bradley and Cooper, that had been found and cared for by a farmer in Kozani in northern Greece.
The group bemoaned that the one week the cubs stayed with the farmer was far too long.

WWF: Population of White Bears Sharply Decreases
To date, the population of white bears is between 22 and 31 thousand, with 60% of them on Canadian territory.
The World Wildlife Fund warns that if global warming continues to spread at such a rate, the polar bears will drop by 30% over the next 35 years.
