Top UN court throws out Nicaragua's Gaza 'genocide' request
The U.N.'s top court Tuesday threw out Nicaragua's request for emergency measures against German military supplies to Israel, saying "circumstances were not such" to accuse Germany of violating a genocide convention.
International Court of Justice presiding judge Nawaf Salam said the circumstances presented to the court did not warrant "provisional measures".

Israel's security is at the "core" of German foreign policy, the U.N.'s highest court heard on Tuesday, where Berlin has denied a claim that it is aiding in a "genocide" in Gaza.
Nicaragua brought Germany before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to demand that judges impose emergency measures to stop Berlin from providing Israel with weapons and other assistance.

Fifteen Killed in Nicaragua Protests
MANAGUA (Reuters) - At least fifteen people were killed and more than 200 injured on Wednesday in one of the worst days of violence since protests against Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega began more than a month ago, police said on Thursday.
