Maniatika metro station

Aiming to improve the overall experience for commuters, new entry and exit gates will be gradually implemented starting Friday at six stations on Line 3 of the Athens metro: Agia Varvara, Korydallos, Nikaia, Maniatika, Piraeus, and Dimotiko Theater.

The Korydallos and Maniatika stations on Line 3 of the Athens metro will close at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday, following police orders. Trains will pass through these stations without stopping.

The closure has been implemented due to planned protests in the area, marking the 11th anniversary of the death of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas.

The Maniatika metro station in Piraeus will be closed on Saturday and Sunday for the installation of electronic ticket sales equipment. 

This temporary closure marks the initial phase of a project aimed at gradually implementing new entrance and exit gates, automatic ticket machines, and management centers across six stations along the extension of Line 3.
