Employment prospects looking up for fourth quarter

The employment climate is expected to be clearly improved in Greece for the last quarter of 2024 according to the latest ManpowerGroup Hiring Outlook Survey.

Based on the survey, in which 524 Greek employers participated, Greece's outlook has improved by 8 points compared to the previous quarter and by 2 points compared to last year.

Recruitment optimism has returned to pre-pandemic levels, with employers in 42 of the 43 countries surveyed by the ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook (MEOS) reporting stronger recruitment prospects than last year.

The survey was conducted on more than 45,000 employers.

Companies in Bulgaria are planning to increase their employees by ten percent in the last three months of 2018, according to a survey by ManpowerGroup, which surveyed 620 employers. Thus, the intentions did not change compared to the previous quarter, but there was a decrease of three percentage points compared to the same period last year, according to the data.

The jobless rate may remain steadily above 20 percent in Greece, but six out of 10 employers say they are finding it difficult to find the right staff for some of their job openings, according to the annual international report on the problem of a lack of people with the right skills that ManpowerGroup conducted for 2018.
