The 28th edition of the "Sofia Film Fest" starts tonight at 7 p.m. in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK). The festival will open with the screening of "Klopka," a compelling film by director Nadezhda Koseva that promises to captivate viewers with its powerful narrative.

The Greek Film Archive presents films from different parts of the world in a two-day tribute to gender equality. "50/50 Equality in Cinema," starts on Thursday at 8.30 p.m.

The Goethe Institute in Athens hosts Greece's first-ever screening of "Baal," a controversial 1970 TV movie based on Bertolt Brecht's play, written and directed for the screen by Volker Schloendorff and starring Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Sigi Graue and Margarethe von Trotta.

BELGRADE - The cultural centre Studentski grad in Belgrade will screen 10 modern German movies from March 16 to 20 as part of a programme entitled Travelling Cinema - Modern German Film.

The event is organised in coordination with the Goethe Institute in Belgrade and there will be no admittance fee.
