Listening to Marina Abramovic at the press conference of her new exhibition in Istanbul, everyone wonders what it takes to be a performance artist. She has been bruised, attacked, has performed with her loved one and done many different acts and performances in her lifetime and is still trying to give her best to the performance art.

The famed performance artist Marina Abramovic was in Serbia and in Montenegro in recent days, a Belgrade-based daily is reporting.

The 70-year-old's visit to Montenegro was organized by Petar Cukovic, her longtime friend, art historian, lecturer at the Faculty of Visual Arts in Podgorica, and art director of the Dukley European Art Community.

Renowned artist Marina Abramovic will be at the ancient theatre of Epidaurus on March 28 to film scenes for a documentary on the life of famous soprano Maria Callas.

Abramovic has been in Greece since the beginning of March presenting a new project titled “As One” in collaboration between the Marina Abramović Institute (MAI) and the Greek Cultural Organisation NEON.

Contemporary art fair ArtInternational, which kicked off at the Haliç Congress Center on Sept. 4, ended on Sept. 6 after registering a record-breaking set of sales. More than 30,000 people visited the fair over the three days. 

More than 2,000 collectors and art traders visited the fair, bringing in a record-smashing total sales value of $30.2 million.
