Superhero fatigue? Not for the third 'Guardians' film
Despite talk of growing superhero fatigue among moviegoers, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" opened to a solid $114 million in ticket sales in North American theaters, industry watcher Exhibitor Relations reported on May 7.
Marvel movies return to China after nearly 4-year break
Chinese film fans on Jan18 celebrated the return of Marvel movies to the country's cinemas after an absence of nearly four years.
Foreign films are tightly controlled in China, which imposes an annual release quota, and movies in the hugely popular Marvel franchises have been off the silver screen since the release of "Spider-Man: Far from Home" in July 2019.
Stan Lee documentary comes to Disney+
The late Marvel Comics visionary Stan Lee will be the focus of an upcoming documentary.
Disney+ announced on Dec. 28, on what would have been Lee's 100th birthday, that an original documentary about him will arrive in 2023.
Lee, the co-creator of "Spider-Man," "The Avengers,"X-Men," along with hundreds of other characters, began his career in 1941.
