Bulgaria Makes Trafficking Arrests After Migrant Bus Hits Police Car

Five people were arrested on human trafficking charges following the incident.
Wildfire Raging in Southern Bulgaria: 120 Decares of Forest is Burning
Some 120 decares of the forest are burning near the town of Vetren, Pazardzhik region in southern Bulgaria on August 22. According to initial reports, the fire started from the landfill, and from there on dry grass and shrubs it was transferred to the nearby forest and engulfed a large area of it, reports BNT.
The Flames of the Kresna Gorge Began with New Force
The road to Greece is closed because of a new fire in the Kresna Gorge. It is supposed that the flames have started from unextinguished cigarette, bTV reported. Firefighters were sent to the site.
The western front of the fire at Stara Kresna blazed again this morning. The smoke is visible on the E79 international road, and the flames are near the railway line.
New Fire Broke Out Near Bulgaria-Turkey Border
A new fire broke out around noon near the Bulgarian border with Turkey, bTV reported.
Dry grasses and shrubs are now burning between the villages of Filipovo, Prisadec, Matochina and Varnik.
On site were sent 5 fire-fighting teams from Haskovo and 3 fire-fighting vehicles.
There is no danger to the local population.

Wild Fires Broke Out in the South Bulgarian Region of Haskovo
The wild fires, which broke out in the South Bulgarian region of Haskovo on 17th of August are getting intense. Four new fires have been raging in the region for the recent few hours. Most serious is the situation near Topolovgrad. The causes are not clear, reported BNT.
