It is not too late for so-called "perpetual students" at Greek universities to start considering their future.

The Ministry of Education has clarified to universities that remote exams for the current winter semester are mandatory for schools and faculties that are under occupation, holding the leaderships of the institutions and academics accountable for any loss of the examination period for students. 

The Education and Science Ministry has four priorities for the following three months until the caretaker government is replaced by a regular one after snap elections, Minister Nikolai Denkov told a news conference on Monday.

"We plan many activities during the summer for students who have not participated effectively in e-learning or who need additional support to overcome learning difficulties and increase results."   This was stated by the Minister of Education and Science Krassimir Valchev, who participated in an informal video conference of the line ministers of the EU member states.

The government approved at its meeting on Wednesday additional transfers of BGN 2.482 million on the budgets of municipalities for the payment of scholarships for educational results from municipal schools for the current year.

Bulgarian Education Minister Todor Tanev announced on Friday that the salaries of teachers were likely to increase in the autumn.

Tanev reminded that the increase in teachers' salaries always happened in the autumn and expressed hope that this year would not make a difference, he said in an interview for private NOVA TV.
