First Turkish aid shipment for Rohingya Muslims arrives in Myanmar

Turkey's first shipment of humanitarian aid arrived on Sept. 6 in Myanmar's Rakhine state, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has said.       
Some 1,000 tons of emergency aid packages containing rice, dried fish and clothing were delivered to the Social Services Ministry in the Rakhine state at a handover ceremony, according to the statement.  
  

Turkey sent humanitarian aid worth $70M to Rohingya people, Turkish FM says

Turkish foreign minister on Sept. 2 decried other Muslim countries' silence on the plight of the Rohingya Muslims. 

"There are a great many Muslim countries. Where are they? Why are they silent?" Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu asked at an event marking the Muslim Eid-al Adha holiday in the Mediterranean province of Antalya. 

Dozens killed in Myanmar clashes

At least four soldiers were killed in a third day of clashes in Myanmar’s troubled Rakhine state on Tuesday, the army said.
State media said the soldiers were attacked by 300 men armed with pistols, swords and knives.
Nine police officers were killed in co-ordinated attacks at the weekend along Myanmar’s border with Bangladesh.
