Turkish fighter jets violated Greek air space over the Aegean on Monday, according to Greek military authorities.
Turkish fighter jets enter Athens FIR in the Aegean
Four Turkish F-16 and two F-4 fighter jets flying in three formations entered the Athens Flight Informational Region (FIR) on several occasions in the northeastern and southeastern Aegean on Monday.
They were chased off by Greek air force pilots in line with international rules of engagement. Two of the six fighter jets were armed.
Fighter jets to fly over Athens as part of Iniohos exercise
A formation of Greek, US, Italian and Israeli fighter jets participating in the annual multinational Iniohos 2019 exercise will fly over Athens from 6.20 to 6.30 p.m.
The formation will be made up of seven F-35, F-4, Mirage 2000 and Tornado jets.
New airspace violations in the Aegean
Turkish fighter aircraft violated Greek airspace five times on Monday, a week after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras's official visit to Turkey.
Six Turkish F-16 fighter jets and two F-4s flying in three formations, along with three CN-235 surveillance aircraft and two helicopters entered Greek airspace in the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean.

New overflight in Aegean by Turkish jets
A few hours after Turkish fighter jets flew over the islets of Anthropofagos and Makronisi in the eastern Aegean on Monday, a new overflight by a pair of Turkish F-16 was recorded over the islet of Oinousses, according to defense officials.
The fighter jets flew at a height of 26,000 feet at 16.04, they said.

New Greek air space violations by Turkish jets
Two formations of four Turkish fighter jets violated Greece's airspace twice and infringed on the Athens Flight Information Region on Thursday, the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) said.
The two Turkish F-16 and two F-4 jets entered national airspace in the northeastern and southeastern Aegean.

Fighter jets fly over Athens ahead of March 25 military parade
Greek fighter jets - two F-16s, two F-4s and one Mirage 2000 - flew over Athens on Monday in practice for the March 25 military parade, according to reports.
The annual parade marks the March 25, 1821 anniversary of Greek independence from Ottoman rule.
