Turkey's European Union Affairs Minister Ömer Çelik on April 5 warned the country's allies to not train Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) militants.

Turkish EU Minister Ömer Çelik is to head to Brussels on Jan. 25 for talks with top European officials, according to a written statement from the ministry on Jan. 24.

The steady development of relations between Bulgaria and Turkey is a priority of Bulgarian foreign policy.

This was confirmed at a meeting between Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Turkey's Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik, the government's information office said.

Turkey feels betrayed by some European Union leaders who have called for the end of accession talks but still hopes eventually to join the bloc, Turkish EU Minister Ömer Çelik has said.

European Union ambassadors in Ankara are expected to visit the southern Turkish province of Adana on Dec. 8 to show solidarity over a bomb-laden attack that killed two people and wounded 33 others on Nov. 24.

The ambassadors will lay a wreath outside the governor's office.
