US appreciates Türkiye’s efforts for Ukraine’s grain export

The United States has expressed its appreciation for the efforts Türkiye has been exerting to enable Ukrainian agricultural products to reach global markets through the Black Sea.

The issue was raised during a phone conversation between U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu late June 25, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Türkiye next week will host Russian, Ukrainian and U.N. officials for talks aimed at resuming stalled grain exports across the Black Sea, media reported on June 21. 

The meeting in Istanbul would be preceded by a visit to Moscow by a Turkish defense delegation this week, CNN Turk cited Turkish presidential sources as saying.
