At least two people have died in southern Mexico from the passage of Typhoon John, now downgraded to a tropical storm, authorities said.

Repeat elections at 28 polling stations ordered for December 30
BELGRADE - Serbia's national electoral commission on Wednesday ordered repeat parliamentary elections at 28 polling stations across the country for December 30.
The commission determined that the polling stations have a total of 12,240 voters.

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 has shaken Southwest China. At least 13 people have died in Sichuan province, the BBC reported.

Strong Earthquake Shook Mexico, There is a Casualty

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake shook Mexico. Its epicenter was 37 km northwest of San Marcos and 14 km southeast of Acapulco, Guerrero, according to the US Geophysical Institute (USGS).
Buildings in Mexico City swayed in the middle of the night, forcing people to flee the streets. In some parts of the city, the quakes lasted nearly a minute.
Major earthquake, floods hit Mexico
A 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Mexico on Sept. 7 near the Pacific resort city of Acapulco, leaving at least one person dead and shaking buildings in the capital several hundred kilometers away.

The epicenter was 11 kilometers (seven miles) southeast of Acapulco in Guerrero state, the National Seismological Service reported.

Magnitude 5,3 Earthquake Rocks Turkey
An earthquake was registered last night in the Mugla area on the Aegean coast. The 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded at 11:38 p.m. local time.
The epicenter was at sea, 19 km from the resort village of Datca, at a depth of 2.51 km. No casualties or destructions were reported. The quake was also felt in neighboring counties.

Magnitude 5.0 earthquake rattles Lesvos
An earthquake with preliminary magnitude 5 struck off the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos on Monday, Greek authorities said. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
The Athens Geodynamic Institute said the undersea quake occurred at 7.46 a.m. local time 46 kilometers off the island's southwestern coast and its epicenter was at a depth of 14.9 kilometers.
