From 6 January 2020 the Bulgarian National Bank will release into circulation a copper commemorative coin '125 Years since the Birth of Geo Milev' of the 'Bulgarian Artists' series.

It will be sold for BGN 24 (twenty four levs).

Part of downtown Sofia without hot water from midnight until August 20. The reason is the planned repairs. Thus, no hot water will be left in Geo Milev Quarter, part of Yavorov Quarter, as well as separate chats of Poduyane and Reduta.

The construction of a route through "Slatina" and "Geo Milev", as well as the connection of "Mladost 4" and Simeonovski lift are the next steps towards the extension of the Sofia metro in the coming years. This is part of the General Plan of Sofia, which is to be voted by the Sofia Municipal Council, reports money.bg

"Dianabad", "Manastirski livadi-Iztok", "Geo Milev" and "Oborishte" are the four neighborhoods in Sofia, where there is the largest number of purchases of housing at the moment. Of these, prices are the lowest in Dianabad - an average of 950 euros per square meter, and the highest - in Oborishte - an average of 1300 euros per square meter.

The breakdown, which  left without heating subscribers in several metropolitan districts yesterday, was removed.

A broken main heat pipeline stopped heating to the residents who live in ''Geo Milev'', ''Yavorov'' and parts of ''Slatina'' and ''Poduyane''.

The staged heat recovery started around 10 pm, reported by Toplofikatsia Sofia.

The construction of the subway, which will reach the metropolitan districts of Slatina and Geo Milev, will start in four years.

It is planned to be an extension of line 3, which is currently under construction, announced the head of Metropolitan Eng. Stoyan Bratoev to Darik.

Heating utility company Toplofikatsiya has said it is still working to restore the supply of heating in several neighborhoods in the east of Bulgaria's capital Sofia.

Neighborhoods still affected include Geo Milev, Slatina and Sitnyakovo, alongside parts of Studentski Grad, Lozenets, Dianabad, Iztok and Izgrev.

Heating utility company Toplofikatsiya says it has restored heating supply to all Mladost neighborhoods (1-4) and Darvenitsa in Sofia after a breakdown disrupted services in part of the Bulgarian capital.

The company is also gradually renewing services to the neighborhoods of Dianabad, Iztok and Ivan Asen II.

Stefan Milev, a former prosecutor, has been appointed as chair of the Sofia Regional Court, Bulgarian media report.

Milev has garnered a narrow majority of 8 to 3 members of the judges' college at the Supreme Judicial Council, the judiciary's top decisionmaking body.
