BELGRADE - Today marks two centuries of the Second Serbian Uprising, also known as the second Serbian revolution against the Ottoman Empire.

At a meeting of the national council in Takovo on April 23, 1815, Milos Obrenovic heralded the start of the uprising with his famous quote: "Here I am, and here you are at war against Turks."

BELGRADE - The military parade to mark 70th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade in World War II will be held in front of the Palace of Serbia and on the Danube River, gathering around 3,000 members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Defence Ministry.

Russian, Serbian air forces to hold joint drills

MOSCOW -- Russian and Serbian air forces will hold joint tactical drills in 2015, the press service of Russian Defense Ministry told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday.
