Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey Forge Naval Alliance

The Mine Counter-measures Task Group Black Sea, formed through an agreement among Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey in January, is anticipated to achieve operational readiness by April or May, according to Admiral Emil Eftimov, Chief of Defence for Bulgaria. The task group aims to enhance maritime safety and minimize shipping risks in the Black Sea region.

The new Army Chief of Staff is lieutenant general Alkiviadis Stefanis, until now commander of the NRDC-GR, the new Navy Chief of Staff is vice admiral Nikolaos Tsounis, until now Commander of the National Defense School, and the new Air force Chief of Staff is lieutenant general Christos Christodoulou, until now commander of Tactical Air Force Command.

 

Defense Ministry prepares posters to recruit soldiers for Turkey's Special Forces

The Defense Ministry has prepared new posters to attract fresh recruits to Turkey's Special Forces Command, amid ongoing suspensions and dismissals carried out in the army since the failed coup attempt of July 15. 

In line with the new campaign, the Special Forces Command will recruit personnel from outside the military for the first time ever. 

Victims of military helicopter accident remembered in military and religious ceremonies
