Dodik: I will obey summons, but not in Sarajevo; Constitutionality of BiH Independence Day should be assessed

BELGRADE - The head of Republika Srpska has rejected a summons by state prosecutors, saying he would not travel to Sarajevo for questioning after he defied a high-court ruling by holding a controversial referendum.

Republika Srpska's President Milorad Dodik was summoned after Bosnian Serbs on September 25 voted overwhelmingly to maintain a "statehood day" holiday on January 9.

As much as it is looking ahead, Serbia has no reason to be ashamed when it looks behind, President Tomislav Nikolic has said.

According to his press service, he made the statement on Thursday in Thessaloniki after honoring the fallen Serbian soldiers buried at the Allied military cemetery Zeitenlik. Nikolic was accompanied by RS President Milorad Dodik.

Dodik: Referendum will be held

BELGRADE - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik on Monday dismissed speculations that Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic has tried to convince him to abandon the idea of holding a referendum on Republika Srpska Day, pointing out that the Serbian PM has never pressured him over it.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday held a meeting on Tuesday with the president of the Serb National Council in Croatia, Milorad Pupovac.

They "demonstrated a high degree of agreement on the need for renewed cooperation and dialogue between the two countries," the government said in a statement carried by Tanjug.
