Minority government

Ljubljana – After yesterday’s failed vote of no confidence in the government, political analysts seem to be divided as to what this means for the coalition. While Rok Čakš believes it has made the coalition more stable and that this marks the end of attempts to bring down the government, Aljaž Pengov Bitenc expect more ouster motions.

Slovenian Prime Minister Marjan Sarec said he would send his resignation to the National Assembly on Monday and called for an early election, because his minority government did not have the influence to push through important legislation.
"There is nothing I can do with this government. Therefore, it is fair to hold an early election," he told a press conference.

Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister has to resign or else she will force a snap election next month, a senior member of the opposition party propping up the country's minority government said on Nov. 27.

The Conservatives have reached an agreement with the Democratic Unionists which will see them support Theresa May's minority government, BBC reported.
The deal comes after two weeks of talks between the parties since the election resulted in a hung Parliament.

President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an said he was not against a ?minority government;? to our surprise, what he is against is actually a ?permanent minority government.?

Liberal party leader Lars Lokke Rasmussen was appointed Danish prime minister on June 28 and named ministers in a government that has a small minority in parliament and will have to rely heavily on outside support on a vote by vote basis. 

Sweden's government on Dec. 27 announced a deal with the opposition that will avert the country's first snap elections in more than half a century and counter the rising influence of the anti-immigrant far right.
