Russian missiles strike Kiev, shattering sense of calm

A barrage of Russian missiles struck Ukraine's capital early Sunday, hitting unspecified "infrastructure" targets, Kiev's mayor said. No one was reported killed, with one person hospitalized with injuries.

But the attack shattered a sense of calm in Kiev, which hadn't seen similar strikes since the April 28 visit of U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

India with a new delivery of S-400 from Russia

India has received a new batch of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems from Russia, India Today reported, citing high-ranking sources.

"According to sources, the batch of S-400 missile systems was delivered by ship and is already in service. Parts of the missile system arrived by air and sea and were quickly deployed to their designated places," the newspaper said.

China sends weapons to Serbia; Beijing spoke up

Zhao Lijian pointed out that this delivery is not aimed at any third party and that "it has nothing to do with the current situation", without giving more details, reports the Associated Press.
The U.S. agency reported yesterday that Serbia received a sophisticated Chinese anti-aircraft missile system in, as it states, a secret operation that took place over the weekend.

Slovakia donated its S-300 to Ukraine

Slovakia has already donated its S-300 anti-missile systems to Ukraine, Prime Minister Eduard Heger has announced. This comes weeks after US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin visited Sofia and Bratislava in an attempt to persuade Bulgaria and Slovakia to hand over their complexes to Ukraine to protect its skies from Russia.
