Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) has stirred controversy after retracting an interview with Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova, citing violations of journalistic standards. This move has ignited accusations of censorship and political pressure.

Tensions in the National Assembly between MPs from "We Continue the Change" and "Vazrazhdane".

The head of the parliament, Iva Miteva, who is an MP from "There Is Such a People", spoke out against political populism.

She appealed to the parliament, the president and the Council of Ministers to stop populism and start talking about real action.

"I watched with indignation, pain and anxiety the published footage of the violence against young protesters in the summer of 2020. I share this not only as Speaker of the National Assembly and lawyer, but also as a citizen, wife and mother." This is stated in a statement by the Speaker of the 46th National Assembly Iva Miteva.

Prof. Dr. Ivan Mitev Specialised Children's Hospital in Sofia is protesting again, the Bulgarian National Television reported. In less than a week, this will be the second protest of the only hospital specialised in children's diseases in Bulgaria. The doctors continue to insist on a special status of the medical facility and on removing admission limits.

Sofia. On first reading, the Parliament voted against allowing smoking in indoor public places, in separate spaces, Focus News Agency reports. The bill was proposed by United Patriots MP Hristian Mitev.

Vladimir Koylazov received on Saturday of the American Film Academy's Scientific and Technical Awards at a Beverly Hills ceremony, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

A total of 18 scientific and technical achievements were singled out during the ceremony.
