The American Hellenic Institute Foundation (AHIF) has joined with the Center for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at Queens College as co-publisher of the Journal of Modern Hellenism.

Roderick Beaton, an acknowledged authority on modern Greek literature and culture and the author of a biography of Greek poet-diplomat George Seferis, begins his latest book, "Greece: Biography of a Modern Nation," with a provocative question: "Who are the Greeks?

Greek cultural life is presented through Greek cultural weeks to take place at Omilo Education Center’s “Greek Cultural Weeks”. A series of workshops featuring Greek songs, mythology, etymology as well as Ancient and Modern Greek are presented.
