Led by MEP, Cypriots file complaint against Turkey
A group of Cypriots, including an MEP, on Monday filed a war crimes complaint against Turkey at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.
Petitioners called for an investigation into Ankaras policy of settlement in the Turkish-occupied north of the island following the 1974 invasion.

Greek Cypriots file war crimes complaint against Turkey
A group of Greek Cypriots has filed a war crimes complaint against Turkey at the International Criminal Court over what they say is its policy of settling Cyprusâ breakaway north with mainland Turks.
President Gül to pay last foreign visit to Turkish Cyprus
President Abdullah Gül will make his last official foreign visit to Turkish Cyprus on July 20.
Gül will participate by on the island to mark the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Turkish Peace and Freedom Day.
Turkish Cyprus was the presidentâs first destination of choice after he was elected in 2007.

Chambers meet, vow support in Cyprus talks
Turkish and Greek Cypriot chambers of commerce, along with those of Turkey and Greece, met June 2 in the U.N.-controlled buffer zone in a bid to boost the negotiation process with both sides pledging support to the reunification of the divided island.

Turkish Cypriots say gas find could be obstacle in talks
Turkish Cypriot chief negotiator played down the prospect of a quick solution in peace talks with his Greek rivals, warning that the discovery of natural gas in the region was possibly more of an obstacle than of help.

Turkey plans to ignore court order to pay compensation to Cyprus
Turkey has no plans to pay 90 million euros ($124 million) to Cyprus as ordered by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Tuesday.
The money was ordered in compensation for Turkey's invasion of the island 40 years ago.
UN appoints first woman to head peacekeeping force in Cyprus
UN chief Ban Ki-moon named the first ever woman to serve as the head of a UN peacekeeping operation Monday, appointing a Norwegian commander to the UN mission in Cyprus.
Major General Kristin Lund of Norway, 56, will replace outgoing Major General Chao Liu of China in mid-August.
