Bulgaria to Launch Campaign to Attract Chinese Tourists, Says Bulgarian Tourism Minister
Sofia. China is very important for the European tourism, we seek to promote Bulgaria as a tourism destination in the Chinese market. We are preparing a marketing campaign to attract visitors from China, which we plan to launch next year. Bulgaria's official tourism portal will be available in Chinese after its upgrade in 2019.
In 60 Schools in the Country the Classes are Stopped
The classes in 60 schools in the country are stopped. The reasons are bad weather, poor traffic conditions, faults in the heating system, disrupted power supply or high number of sick students due to the flu, reported the Ministry of Education and Science.
Emergency Situation Declared in Smolyan and Karlovo
As a result of the stormy wind in Smolyan this morning was declared a state of emergency because of closed roads as a result of uprooted and fallen trees and interrupted power supply. There is no electricity in Turian, Stanevska Mahala, River, Trebishte, the whole Ardensko river, Momchilovtsi, Sokolovtsi and Tikale, Taran.

At the age of 89, the famous artist Prof. Mihail Karapouanov died yesterday. In 2005 he was awarded the title "Honorary citizen of Smolyan", the press center of Smolyan reported.

Bulgarian Village Celebrates Feast Day by Unveiling Chapel Dedicated to St. Stephen
The inhabitants of the Bulgarian village of Momchilovtsi in the Rhodope mountains celebrated the feast day of Saint Stephen on Sunday by unveiling a chapel dedicated to the first Christian martyr.
The chapel was built by 270 people bearing the name of Stephen or its derivatives, private bTV station informs.
