Bulgaria's Inflation Rate Drops, Marking Lowest Level in Over Two Years
Inflation in Bulgaria experienced a significant slowdown in September, dropping to 1.2% from 2.1% in August, marking the lowest rate since March 2021, according to the National Statistical Institute (NSI). Compared to August, a deflation of 1% was recorded, following a slight rise of 0.1% in the consumer price index during the previous month.

In July, inflation in Bulgaria slightly decreased to 2.4% on an annual basis, according to recent statistics from the NSI. However, compared to the previous month, the inflation index rose by 0.8%, reversing a trend of decline observed in recent months. This increase is primarily attributed to higher prices for tourist services and establishments.

Greece's harmonized index of consumer prices dropped in May to below the average inflation in the eurozone for the first time since last September, according to Eurostat estimates.

Bulgaria's Inflation Slows to 3% in March, Marking Lowest Rate Since July 2021
In a recent report by the National Statistical Institute, Bulgaria's annual inflation rate for March witnessed a notable deceleration, settling at 3% compared to the previous month's figure of 3.0%. This marks the lowest inflation rate observed in the country since July 2021, when it also stood at 3 percent.
Inflation seen rebounding
Eurostat estimated on Tuesday that European Union-harmonized inflation rose considerably in October to reach 3.9%, which is mainly attributed to food price hikes after a few weeks of natural disasters that mainly struck central Greece.

Harmonized inflation in Greece "fell" to 9.8% in October, according to Eurostat data. At the same time, the consumer price index in the eurozone increased by 10.7%, setting a new record.

Romania's annual inflation falls to 2.3% in May
Romania's annual inflation rate fell to 2.3% in May 2020, from 2.7% in April, given that food prices rose by 5.25% , services by 2.6%, and non-food goods by 0.15%, according to data released on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). Consumer prices in May 2020 compared with April rose by 0.05%, and compared with December 2019 they advanced 1.47%.
