Montenegro gets a new government today
The head of the Parliament will be the leader of the New Serbian Democracy Andrija Mandi, and the government Milojko Spaji. The continuation of the first constitutive session of the Parliament of Montenegro of the 28th convocation of the Parliament is scheduled for 10 o'clock.

EU Fails to Sway Montenegro Opposition Over Boycott
Three-day talks in Podgorica launched by the Europeen Delegation in Montenegro to mediate with opposition parties ended on Wednesday with no breakthrough over the opposition boycott of parliament following last October's elections.

Protesters in Podgorica Demand Resignation of Montenegro's Government
Several thousand people continued their protests in the capital of Montenegro on Sunday, calling on the government of Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic to resign.
Tensions ran high as the security measures were heightened after violent clashes between protesters and riot police had taken place on Saturday, Balkan Insight informs.
Montenegro Urged to Regulate Non-Resident Voters
The main opposition alliance, the Democratic Front, urged the government on Monday to delete more than 70,000 voters from the central electoral roll because it said they could not prove that they have resided in the country continuously for the past two years.

Montenegro's Opposition Alliance Loses Leader
Miodrag Lekic, leader of the main opposition force in Montenegro, Democratic Front, has announced that he is stepping down.
Lekic had been considered the only political figure with enough authority and popular support to unite the various opposition parties in Montenegro that have little in common except a desire to defeat the country's long-time leader, Milo Djukanovic.

Montenegro Opposition Seeks Support For Crisis Govt
Opposition Democratic Front leader Miodrag Lekic will next week start consultations with various parties on an initiative to form a technical temporary government because of what he termed the "serious political and economic crisis" in Montenegro.
Lekic said he would seek the support of all opposition NGOs and parties as well as parties representing ethnic minorities in parliament.
