The Moulin Rouge in Paris will be high-kicking its way back on stage in September, it announced with a flourish on May 17, after the longest shut down in more than a century.

The first cancan of the post-pandemic era is due to take place on September 10 under the iconic windmill in Montmartre.

One of the few paintings by Vincent Van Gogh still in private hands, "Street Scene in Montmartre," was sold for over 13 million euros on March 25 at auction after going on public display for the first time this week, Sotheby's said.

Sotheby's auction house said the work, painted in 1887, has remained in the same family collection for more than 100 years out of the public eye.

A painting by a famous artist, Vincent van Gogh, which has never been exhibited, will be sold at Sotheby's auction in Paris. Before that, it will be exhibited in the French capital, as well as in Amsterdam and Hong Kong.
