Ljubljana – Centre-left opposition groups have called on the government to either resign or seek a confidence vote, describing its decision to backtrack on two major bills as yet another proof that it no longer has a majority.

Analysts divided on whether govt will finish its term

Ljubljana – After yesterday’s failed vote of no confidence in the government, political analysts seem to be divided as to what this means for the coalition. While Rok Čakš believes it has made the coalition more stable and that this marks the end of attempts to bring down the government, Aljaž Pengov Bitenc expect more ouster motions.

Bulgaria's Government Survived after a No-Confidence Vote

The no-confidence motion against Bulgaria's government has been defeated by 124 to 102 votes, with 9 abstentions, Focus News Agency reported.
In order for a no-confidence vote to be successful, it must be supported by more than half of all MPs. In case of rejection, a new vote of no confidence cannot be brought in the next 6 months.

Bulgarian Parliament Rejects no Confidence Motion Against Borissov's Government over Healthcare

The Parliament voted down a motion of no-confidence in Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's government over its healthcare policy, Focus News Agencyreports. The motion was rejected with 133 votes against, 99 votes for and no abstentions.
