Motorcyclist dies in head-on collision with truck
A fatal traffic accident occurred on Saturday night in the municipality of Akrochori in northern Greece.
A privately-owned truck, driven by a 73-year-old, collided head-on with a motorcycle, driven by a 60-year-old rider.
The collision resulted in the motorcyclist's fatal injuries, while the 73-year-old sustained injuries.

Motorcycles take over passenger cars in sales
With demand rising fast, motorcycle sales in Türkiye surpassed that of passenger cars in the first 10 months of 2023.
From January to October, a total of 813,520 motorcycles were sold in the country, pointing to a staggering 148 percent year-on-year increase, while passenger car sales amounted to 749,501 units.

Four police officers injured, lightly, in crash
Four officers with the Hellenic Police's motorcycle-riding DIAS squad sustained minor injuries in a collision with a car in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Filis Avenue in Liosion, northern Athens, when a car veered into the opposite lane and crashed into the two oncoming motorcycles that were carrying the four officers.

The number of road traffic victims in the European Union in 2017 is around 25,000 or 50 per 1 million inhabitants, according to Eurostat data released today.
The most fatal cases are the share of passengers and drivers of cars (46%), followed by pedestrians (21%), motorcyclists (15%), cyclists (8%) and other forms of transport.
