BELGRADE - The signature on the Brussels Agreement is binding to Serbia, while the unsigned so-called Ohrid Agreement is not in the least so, former Security Information Agency director and Movement of Socialists founder Aleksandar Vulin said on Monday.

BELGRADE - In a reaction to a statement by the chairman of the German Bundestag's foreign affairs committee Michael Roth, Movement of Socialists founder Aleksandar Vulin said on Thursday Roth would like to have an "occupation commander" in Serbia who would determine the outcome of elections.

Commenting on US sanctions imposed on the head of Serbia's Security Information Agency, BIA, Aleksandar Vulin, President Aleksandar Vucic said he is not being sanctioned for any criminal activities but for his close ties with Russia.

"The creation of the Serbian world is a process that cannot be stopped", said Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin. "It is important that all Serbs, no matter where they live, be united and that all issues of national interest be resolved together in Belgrade, the capital of all Serbs", he stressed.

Elections in Hungary and Serbia stimulate tensions

National elections were held on April 3 in both Hungary and Serbia. In Serbia, the parliamentary election coincided with presidential and local elections in 12 municipalities, including the capital, Belgrade.

The EU press service has reminded would-be-member Serbia that freedom of expression is an important value of the European club - and that Serbia's respect for it will be examined closely during its accession process.

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin's Movement of Socialists party lashed out after KRIK published a report on Monday alleging that Vulin bought an apartment in Belgrade under suspicious circumstances with money he had borrowed from his wife's aunt in Canada.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) group in the parliament will unanimously back the proposal for Ana Brnabic to become the next PM, but its position is that the majority required to elect her must be ensured by other parties that were on the "Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia is Winning" electoral list, SNS whip Aleksandar Martinovic said Monday.

BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) official Maja Gojkovic was on Monday re-elected as the speaker of the Serbian parliament.
   

Aleksandar Vulin was in Pozarevac, eastern Serbia on Friday where he placed a wreath at the grave of Slobodan Milosevic on the anniversary of his death.
