CHP presidential candidate İnce vows not to use executive powers if elected

Muharrem İnce, the main opposition Republican People's Party's (CHP) presidential candidate, has vowed that he will never use presidential powers granted by the 2017 referendum on constitutional amendments in the event that he gets elected as president.

ANKARA, May 8 (Reuters) - More than a million Turks piled onto social media to call time on President Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday, making the word "Tamam" ("Enough") a trending topic worldwide after he promised to step down if the people wanted it.

"If one day our nation says 'enough', then we will step aside," he said in a speech in parliament.
