AthensCon, Greece's largest comic and pop culture convention, returns to the Tae Kwon Do Stadium in Palaio Faliro. One step closer to sci-fi becoming reality

Hailed as one of the biggest comic conventions in southeast Europe, the Thessaloniki Comic Con is under way at the Helexpo exhibition center, featuring tons of talent from different parts of the world. There are master classes with some great names in the industry, presentations, Q&As with famous artists, competitions, and much, much more.

The third edition of the East European Comic Con (EECC), an event gathering under one banner comic book artists, vendors, actors, cosplayers, gamers and boardgame enthusiasts, has started in Bucharest's Romexpo venue on Friday, Mircea Muresan, the EECC's director, estimating an attendance of around 30,000 during the convention's three days.
