Murathan Mungan

The British Council will organize a meeting of celebrated writers from the United Kingdom and Turkey with their readers. 

The first of these meetings will bring together Hanif Kureishi, the screenwriter of the movie "My Beautiful Laundrette," which was nominated for an Oscar award, and Murathan Mungan, another venerated writer, at the Pera Museum on Feb. 18.  

A group of prominent Turkish writers has announced that it will visit towns, villages and refugee camps across the border from the Syrian town of Kobane, where heavy fighting between Islamist militants and Kurdish fighters has been ongoing for more than a month.
