Cultural Road Festival to close in Antalya
The last leg of the Culture and Tourism Ministry's Cultural Road Festival will be held in the southern province of Antalya. More than 500 events will be held at nearly 50 locations during the event to be held between Nov. 4 and 12.
Events will be held at locations including the ancient city of Side, Cumhuriyet Square, Clock Tower, Konyaaltı, Kaleiçi and many other venues.

Necropolis area becomes a museum
The East Garage Necropolis Area, which was once a public market in the southern province of Antalya and where archaeological excavations started after the discovery of rock tombs, has been transferred to the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
With the project, which had a cost of approximately 292 million Turkish liras, the necropolis area has been opened as a museum.

Building on cracked cliff deemed ‘safe’
Following post-earthquake inspections in the southern province of Antalya that witnessed the deadly Feb. 6 quakes, a structure on the cliff, which even has a cave underneath, has been deemed as "safe" and does not require reinforcement, as per a report, which has sparked a nationwide debate.

Couple goes for 5-year round-the-world tour
A couple has set sail for a five-year round-the-world tour on their yacht with a special ceremony in the southern province of Antalya.
"This was my childhood dream," Sezgin Tekin, a 63-year-old lawyer, told İhlas News Agency on June 16, just before the departure.
His wife, Betül Tekin, a 59-year-old retired teacher, will accompany him on this journey.

'Parallel Universes' by Uğur Gallenkuş
Digital collage artist Uğur Gallenkuş, who brings different worlds together in the same photo frame, presents his first exhibition in Turkey at the Türkan Şoray Cultural Center in Antalya.
Organized in cooperation with Muratpaşa Municipality and Antalya Promotion Foundation (ATAV), the exhibition will run through Oct 15.

Antalya becomes Iranian film hub
An Iranian movie production firm has chosen Turkey's Mediterranean tourism hub Antalya for three of its projects, citing the city's historical and cultural wealth.
The resort city also attracts filmmakers with its natural beauty, as well as, precautions that Turkey has taken against the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Suspected bank robber persuaded to surrender
An Uzbek national who attempted an armed robbery at a private bank in Antalya province was detained after being convinced by the security forces.
The suspect walked in a private bank early on on Dec. 17 in Muratpaşa district of Antalya province, while carrying a mechanism, which had the appearance of a bomb, in his hand, according to Demirören News Agency.
