Appeal by officers convicted in Grigoropoulos murder postponed
An appeal by officers Epaminondas Korkoneas (photo) and Vassilis Saraliotis, convicted for the murder of 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos in Exarchia, central Athens, has been postponed to March 2015. Korkoneas shot the youngster in December 2008.
Couple convicted for murdering son in 2006
A Thessaloniki court on Monday convicted a couple for beating their 7-year-old son to death in 2006.
The northern citys appeals court sentenced the victims mother to life in prison, while the father received 10 years.
Charges against the parents, who are from Albania, included homicide and grievous bodily harm.
