Murder of Münevver Karabulut

Bone samples from the grave of femicide convict Cem Garipoğlu have been confirmed as belonging to him amid years of speculation about his death.

Turkish authorities have ordered the exhumation of the grave of a convicted murderer, who committed suicide in prison while serving his sentence for a femicide nearly 15 years ago, following persistent public skepticism over his death, the victim's lawyer has announced.

Süreyya Karabulut, the father of Münevver Karabulut, who was brutally murdered 13 years ago in Istanbul, has made a legal application to exhume the body of his daughter's murderer with the suspicion that he is still alive.
