Work to construct a mine in Artvin's Cerattepe area despite public anger from locals has been halted until a judicial process is completed following a Feb. 24 meeting between a delegation from the province and Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu.

Forestry Minister Veysel Ero?lu said they would not a take a step back about the mine slated to be opened in Cerattepe in Artvin. We would have been surprised if he had told us the opposite; this statement is normal.
