The youngest son of Egypt's former president, Mohamed Mursi, died on Sept. 4 from a heart attack, his brother and a family lawyer told Reuters, 2-1/2 months after his father's death from similar causes.

Egypt has hanged four men convicted by a military court of killing three military students in a bombing in 2014, security sources said on Tuesday.

A car bomb targeting a policeman's club in the Egyptian city of El Arish killed six people and wounded 10 on Nov 4, security sources said.

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant's (ISIL) Egypt affiliate, Sinai Province, claimed responsibility for the attack, which it described as a suicide bombing. 

The United States and Egypt are returning to a ?stronger base? in their relationship despite tensions and concerns over human rights, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Aug. 2 at the first strategic dialogue between the two sides since 2009. 

An Egyptian court postponed June 2 issuing a final ruling over a death sentence recommendation for former Islamist President Mohamed Mursi and other top Muslim Brotherhood leaders in a case related to a 2011 mass jail break. 

The judge said the case was postponed to June 16. 

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has slammed the death penalty issued for former Egyptian president Mohamed Mursi, likening the country to "ancient Egypt" while criticizing the Western stance over the coup, which was led by Mursi's successor Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
