The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is deeply disappointed in Kiev's decision to ban Russian Eurovision contestant Yulia Samoilova from entering Ukraine, the union said in a statement published on the Eurovision website.

Kristian Kostov is the Bulgarian participant at the next edition of Eurovision in 2017, announced BNT.

He will take the stage of the contest for the first time in May, in Ukraine's capital Kiev. According to the draw, Bulgaria is in the second semi-final of the music contest, which will start at 22.00 Bulgarian time on May, 11.

The first major international production, organized by the most famous music television channel MTV will be held in Varna on July, 15 this year. This was announced by Mark Swift, senior vice president of Vivacom International Media Networks.

MTV Greece is no more after seven years on the air.  “Radiotileoptikes Epikirisis” (Radio Television Businesses) that held the rights to MTV has ended its cooperation with Viacom due to financial difficulties.
