Festival formerly known as Trnfest getting under way

The popular festival open-air venue in Karunova Street will also notably see performances by Rambo Amadeus, Zabranjeno Pušenje, Noctiferia, Nipke and N'toko, Soul Fingers and Zaklonišče Prepeva, among others.

The 28th festival, marking the 99th anniversary of the Trnovo Culture Centre, which hosts the festival, will conclude on 31 August with concerts by Tabu and Traffic Religion.

American thrash legends Slayer are stopping in Athens, where they have enjoyed a loyal following since their first appearance in the Greek capital in 1996, on their Farewell Tour. Held at the Athens Olympic Stadium indoor arena on Saturday, July 13, this will be a career-spanning show with selected tracks from the band's 12 studio releases. Doors open at 3 p.m.

Invasion of Black Scorpions in Burgas

From the heat and the humidity black scorpions were scattered in Burgas. About the fearsome invasion, a reader of the flagship site, Flagman.bg, found a member in his bathroom in an apartment on Rilska Street in the city. The scorpion is 5-6 cm in size.

The man says that every year in the summer they notice the scorpions creeping through residential complexes, but not at home.
