Boy, 14, dies in stadium fall

A 14-year-old boy has died after falling from a height in a stadium in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese.

Initial reports said the boy fell from a considerable height at the town's municipal stadium shortly after 1 p.m.

The teenager was found by a security guard, who called for an ambulance.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

Nafplio welcomes mega cruise ship

Nafplio: Balcony collapsed on parked cars

Disruption was caused by the collapse of a balcony of an apartment building in the center of Nafplio at noon on Thursday, August 1.

According to argolikeseidhseis.gr, the incident occurred in Endekati Nafplion when, under unknown circumstances, a balcony of a three-storey building collapsed, causing damage to two parked vehicles.

Deaths of bathers in Porto Rafti, Samos and Nafplio

Three people died by drowning on Saturday (27/7) in separate incidents in Attica, Argolida and Samos.

Specifically, at noon, the Port Authority of Markopoulo was informed that a 77-year-old Greek woman was pulled unconscious from the beach of Agia Marina, Porto Rafti.

She was transported by ambulance to Evangelismos, where she was pronounced dead.
