41 university employees sought over alleged Gülen links in Turkey's Tekirdağ
A court in the western province of Tekirdağ issued detention warrants for 41 people working at Namık Kemal University on charges of having links to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) early on June 2, Doğan News Agency has reported.
Among the suspects are reportedly also several academics, a hospital director and executives of the university.
History to repeat itself on expulsions
The Ottoman administration exiled writer and poet Namık Kemal. The sultan who had sent him into exile remained "one of the other sultans." Namık Kemal, on the other hand, became the "poet of the country" and "the poet of freedom."
