Foreign investors showing strong interest in Türkiye: Minister

Foreign companies, from a wide range of countries, are showing strong interest in making investments in Türkiye, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat has said.

Foreigners were in the wait-and-see mode due to the uncertainties stemming from the May elections, but now business delegations are flocking to Türkiye to hold talks, Bolat told a group of journalists.

New process begins in Türkiye-US ties: Erdoğan

A new process has started in the relations between Türkiye and the United States, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on July 11 when he met with U.S. President Joe Biden.

"I believe it is now time for consultations between presidents within the strategic mechanism," Erdoğan said in brief remarks before the meeting in Vilnius on the sidelines of the NATO summit.

US President Joe Biden expressed a desire to see Sweden join NATO "as soon as possible" in a phone call with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in which they discussed Sweden's bid to become a member of the Western alliance, the White House said on Sunday.

Turkey, along with Hungary, has been a stumbling block to Sweden's bid, which requires unanimous approval by all NATO members.
